Board and Train Program

What is a Board and Train Program?

A Board and Train program involves your dog staying at the facility for a set period (typically 2-6 weeks). During this time, the dog receives intensive, consistent training every day.

How It Works

  • Drop-off: You bring your dog to the facility.

  • Daily Training: The dog undergoes structured training sessions, often mixed with play, walks, and rest. Trainer Liz will keep in touch with the family about how the pup is doing, and what the daily training entails.

  • Trainer Handling: The trainer works directly with the dog on specific behaviors, obedience, or rehabilitation goals.

  • Go-Home Lesson and Transition: At the end, owners are taught how to maintain and reinforce the training through a Go-Home lesson with our trainer.

Common Training Goals

  • Basic obedience (sit, stay, down, recall, etc.)

  • Leash manners

  • Off-leash reliability

  • Behavior modification (aggression, reactivity, anxiety)

  • Socialization

  • & More!

Private Lessons

What Are Private Dog Training Lessons?

Private lessons are one-on-one training sessions between a dog trainer, the dog, and the owner. They can take place at your home, at the trainer’s facility, or in a public setting depending on the training goals.

How It Works

  • Initial Consultation: The trainer evaluates your dog’s behavior, temperament, and your goals.

  • Custom Plan: A tailored training plan is created to address specific issues or skills.

  • Hands-On Teaching: The trainer demonstrates techniques and coaches you in real time.

  • Homework: You’ll practice the skills between sessions to reinforce learning.

  • Follow-Up: Progress is monitored and adjustments are made as needed.

Common Goals for Private Lessons

  • Basic obedience (sit, stay, come, heel)

  • Leash walking skills

  • Barking, jumping, or chewing issues

  • Reactivity, fear, or aggression

  • Puppy training or socialization

  • & More!

We help build strong bonds and confident dogs

Having a well-trained dog is beneficial for both the dog and its owner. When a dog is well-trained, it is easier to manage and control, resulting in a harmonious relationship between the dog and its owner. A well-trained dog is also less likely to exhibit problem behaviors such as excessive barking, aggression, or destructive chewing. Training also provides mental stimulation for the dog, keeping it engaged and reducing the likelihood of boredom-related issues. Additionally, a well-trained dog is a joy to be around and can participate in various activities such as agility, obedience competitions, and therapy work. Overall, investing time and effort into training your dog can lead to a more fulfilling and rewarding relationship for both parties.
